Buyer terms

Who may buy

Only fully registered buyer accounts and seller accounts with a confirmed email may buy. A pending identity review of the selling role does not block buying.

Guests and anonymous sessions may only see publicly released content. Organisation accounts are for application, profile and later receipt. Admin accounts review and manage. Those three groups have no purchase function.

A buyer account that later wants to sell applies for a seller profile. The buyer account does not advertise that path with selling surfaces. Until approval, own items stay unpublished unless they are drafts.

An account stands for a person who may act. Anyone who buys for another person needs that person’s authority and uses their own permitted payment methods. Minors without the needed consent may not buy.

How a purchase runs in the app

You choose an active listing, see the displayed split and use the intended checkout. Eligible accounts can open a hosted payment page. Only a confirmed paid status creates a payment booking. The return page reads only your own status.

An opened payment window is not proof of a donation. Recipient payouts do not follow from payment alone. Those conditions sit in the terms.

Current auctions use euro and steps of 1 euro. Fixed-price items may use euro or US dollar. A currency switch in the fee display is not implemented. Amounts stay in the item currency.

Checkout may freeze a snapshot of the split. You do not then silently change the recipient choice or the listing conditions. If the service stops before paid status is fixed, the sale is not performed. A demo environment is not a real goods purchase.

Choosing an organisation and sharing 5%

If the seller stored a certified organisation, you may optionally assign 5% of that organisation pot to a second certified organisation. The calculation itself sits in the terms. Here you may only not shrink the total pot and not choose an ineligible recipient.

If the seller chose none, you must choose a certified organisation in the intended purchase flow. The whole pot then goes there. Binding country or purpose limits of the listing still bind your choice.

A platform approval does not make donations deductible worldwide. Tax questions depend on country, period and the concrete recipient. This text is not tax advice.

You choose only from certified organisations that may receive. Drafts, blocked profiles and refused applications are not recipients. A later change to a public organisation page does not rewrite a choice you already made.

Only intended payment paths

Do not pay outside the intended platform paths. Do not follow requests for cash, vouchers, crypto or a transfer to a private account. LuxCharity does not ask you to do that by private message.

Which methods a hosted payment page shows is decided by the payment service there. We do not promise card brands or Apple Pay and Google Pay as finished app features. Service booking is closed. Nobody may demand a service price as a binding payment.

Keep the payment service’s strong authentication secret. Do not enter TAN, PIN or full card data in app messages. A payment page in a foreign browser window that was not started from the app is not an intended path.

Chargebacks and disputes through the payment service are not closed by a second transfer outside the app. Open payment disputes may block the event internally; the contractual effects sit in the terms.

How you bid and what a maximum does

A visible bid is placed in the item currency and in the steps shown. A hidden maximum bid stays invisible to others. Proxy bidding raises the visible bid only as far as competition requires, never above your maximum.

Ties follow the rules shown in the app, not a private side deal. Sham bids, pushing the price without intent to buy and bids from a second account against yourself are prohibited.

Once the first accepted bid stands, the donation split, recipient limits and delivery path of the listing stay fixed. You may not ask the seller to rewrite those points in your favour afterwards.

Bids in auction and live

A bid binds you to buy if you win and payment is confirmed under the terms. An award without payment is not a paid order.

If a competing bid arrives in the last 30 seconds, the auction continues for at least 30 seconds. That extension applies to ordinary auction and to live. It does not change the delivery and payout rules in the terms.

Live shows a shared bid state, not a video stream. The Live area in the feed is not finished streaming. Everyone sees the same state the app reloads. There is no secret second clock for individual people.

Check and document receipt

After receipt, check the piece promptly for identity, completeness and obvious damage. Keep the shipment proof. For collection both of you document the handover.

Silence does not confirm receipt. Without proven receipt no return period starts. How you report non-receipt and how withdrawal and the contractual return run sit only in the terms. The model sits on the withdrawal page.

Accept the goods in time or collect them at the agreed time. Anyone who refuses acceptance without a good reason may owe the seller extra cost where the law allows. A fictional absence does not replace documentation.

Open transport packing so that inspection remains possible. Photograph obvious transport damage before further use. A self-repair before a complaint can weaken the evidence.

What you must do on a return

Declare the return in time to the seller, not only internally to the platform. Send the goods back in the condition allowed for checking nature, characteristics and function. Include what belongs to the piece and what you received.

Use the stated return address. Another address from a private message is not a substitute if it does not come from the seller. Keep the return-shipment proof until the refund is visible.

The periods, who bears cost and the refund itself sit only in the terms. Here only your acts remain: declare, secure, send, prove.

Review, follow, report

You may review only after an actually completed order with the same seller. Following delivers in-app notices of new items and live auctions, without push and without video. Reports go to administration.

The limits of review, follow and report sit in the house rules. In addition: a report does not replace a complaint to the seller and does not replace a criminal complaint.

For You, Following and Live in the feed are sortings, not quality judgments by the operator. Following creates no right to every new piece and no video stream. You may stop following without deleting a review.

Messages in this role

Write factually about the listing, handover, a defect or a return. Do not demand payment outside the platform paths. Do not share full identity papers or bank logins in the message.

A message is not a withdrawal unless it clearly declares the return. A message is not a receipt confirmation unless it clearly records receipt. Store important statements through the intended path as well.

Your duties in this role

Keep access data secret. Use only your own payment methods. Accept the goods in time or collect them at the agreed time. Declare a return in time and send the goods back in the condition allowed for inspection.

Do not abuse the 5% split to insert unsuitable recipients. Do not bypass country or purpose binding. Keep messages factual. The general prohibitions sit in the house rules.

Keep your account email reachable while a case is open. A changed email that no longer accepts delivery does not free you from periods that were effectively communicated to you.

When you end the buyer account

Open bids, open payments and open returns must first be closed or effectively withdrawn where the flow allows. A deleted account does not end an already performed sale or an already declared return.

Reviews of completed events may stay visible where the house rules so provide. Your data rights sit in the privacy notice, not here.
